Table Top Tuesday!

This is my first time participating in Table Top Tuesday hosted by Marty from A Stroll Though Life. 

As you may know, I'm passionate about vintage tablecloths! It's hard to choose a favorite, and I never could. But this one would be at the top of my list. It's called "Rock Garden" by Wilendur. It took me years to acquire it for my collection, but it was worth the wait! I LOVE it! I love the sweet little flowers that you can just imagine blooming between moss covered rocks. 

Because it's a breakfast cloth, I layered it over a soft pink cloth. I always have to add a little Fiestaware. And this time my vintage wicker tray.

 

 This unusual winter and spring weather has allowed me to have both daffodils and lilacs at the same time! If only you could smell them! It's such a treat.

 

And of course, I put my matching "Rock Garden" tea towel in my frame! So even though our beautiful spring has turned back to winter, I'm enjoying it from inside!

The Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club

I LOVE vintage tablecloths! In fact they are pretty much an obsession for me! When I joined The Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club I had 44 tablecloths in my collection. None I spent more then a dollar on at a garage sale.

Today, well I haven’t counted but, I estimate I have upwards of 500 tablecloths. I’ve spread my collecting wings and now hunt antique stores, ebay and online shops. But a garage sale find is still my biggest thrill!

My very favorite cloths are Wilendurs. Followed by Broderie and anything pink! Florals are up there with cloths that make me go Ahhhhh….and if they are roses, well you know that thrills me!!

If you haven’t stopped over at The Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club in a while, you might not know about our Tablecloth Database. The TLC now has the only searchable tablecloth identification database! It’s really wonderful. A quick and easy way to put a manufacturer and pattern name to your tablecloth. This database was created and is maintained by TLC members. So you know this is an amazing collection all in one place!

What's on Your Table?

Have you ever visited The Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club? If not, now is a great time to take a peek around. Our home page has access to reference and cleaning information. And if you decide to join, there are many fun and interesting things going on.

Recently our members shared “What’s on Your Table.” Well, it’s cold, dark, and miserably snowy here, so I’m using a cheerful Wilendur tablecloth on my table.

How fun it was to see everyone’s different tablecloths and centerpieces. One even had a darling kitty named Bo as her centerpiece! Now is a great time to join. Membership is only $15.00 for a year. The club is a nice, friendly group who not only love tablecloths, they love all things vintage!
