Teatime Bliss

Congratulations of Rachel P of Shabby French for Me. Rachel won Teatime Bliss magazine!
I hope everyone enjoyed Teacup Tuesdays as much as I did! I'm a little sad to see it end already, so I thought I'd add to the fun just a little bit more. I'm giving away this issue of Victoria's Teatime Bliss magazine. It's going to be so easy to enter. Just leave a message to this post. Tell me a little something about yourself. Anything will do....Your favorite tea, tell about a treasured teacup, tell about what you collect, about your favorite vintage chic item, or about yourself. It will be fun getting to know all of you!

The winner will be chosen by random on April 5th. Make sure to add your email address so I can contact you if you win.

Speaking of Teacup Tuesdays, I'm please to announce that Theresa V. of Poland, OH won the gorgeous Old Country Rose teacup. The winner of the vintage spoons hasn't contacted me yet and I hope she does soon! Check your email to see if it's you!

Spring!

I don't know about you, but I'm loving this early spring! I visited the garden center today and got some early blooming beauties!

Origami Red & White Columbine. More deep maroon then red, so it's very striking.

Winky Columbine. Gorgeous double blooms.

It's too soon to plant the columbine so I'll have to baby them and protect them from frost. I don't want to lose these unusual beauties.

And of course, I had to pick up a few baskets of the hardy and sweet pink pansies. Love the different shades...

I'm anxious to get my hands in the soil! Won't be long now.!

In addition to sharing my floral finds, I wanted to say "thank you" for all the prayers and kind notes upon the loss of my mother-in-law.  I appreciate everyone's understanding about postponing Teacup Tuesdays. I'll do two drawings on Tuesday the 27th of March. Both the vintage teaspoons and Royal Albert Old Country Rose teacup will be given away. There is still time to enter! Monday Markdowns will resume shortly. Please watch your email for the notification. And of course, I have a lot of new vintage treasures coming to The Pink Rose Cottage that you won't want to miss. Check often. I don't know what my schedule will be but I'll be adding them as fast as I can.

Happy weekend my friends. Hope it's a wonderful one for all!

A Sweet Spring Surprise!

After this amazingly warm and wonderful winter it's hard to believe that spring is still officially ten days away.  But I will take my spring surprises any time they come!  I was walking around the yard and found this pretty little touch of spring. I can't see if from the house as it's on the other side of a big old locust tree, but was a pleasant surprise!

My sweet purple crocus surprise seems to me to be a great backdrop for a few Cottage Garden items for The Pink Rose Cottage. Here are two sweet vintage pottery vases or planter is a lovely pink. They are sold separately.

Congratulations to our first Teacup Tuesdays Giveaway winner, Vivian C. of Stuart, FL!

This gorgeous teacup will be given away on March 13th. If you haven't entered, it's not too late. Visit the Teacup Tuesdays page for all the details.

Hope you all find a sweet early spring surprise!

Play Bridge?

Do you play bridge? I'm a canasta girl myself and I don't know anything about playing bridge. But I found these gorgeous vintage table numbers.

Tin with black enamel and hand painted pink flowers makes them striking. The little card with its poem and illustration by BL Nye is an added treasure!

These beautiful numbers make me want to take up the game!

If you play bridge or just want to use the numbers to repurpose or add to your decor, you can find them at The Pink Rose Cottage.
