I love to go saleing – garage sales, estate sales, rummage sales. I just love ‘em all! I love to dig though piles, boxes or just peruse the tables. I pick up a lot of little treasures. While putting away my finds I see a trend. I have a collection of teacups! I didn’t set out to collect them as I did with vintage tablecloths and vintage powder compact. But sure enough, over the years I’ve amassed a nice collection. I see these beautiful teacups, so dainty and elegant, I just can’t pass them by. They are a wonderful little cozy cottage extra!
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to purchase quite a few teacups. Very pretty ones! As much as I want to, I just can’t keep them all. So I’ve added them to The Pink Rose Cottage for someone else to enjoy. Check out Tea Time. You just might find a treasure you love!
I wonder when I’ll see my next trend toward an accidental collection. What will it be? Buttons? Tarnished silver? I don’t know…but I’m sure I’m on my way! How about you? What’s your accidental collection?
lovely cups....I think you are on your way with tarnished silver....with a little help from your friends! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I love this topic - my accidental collection is miniature chairs - I don't know why but I just love them. I had 2 or 3 when I realized I was starting a collection without really knowing it. I have them scattered about and should consolidate the collection into a shelf display maybe. Also, other collections of mine that started by accident are my pottery pitchers and hand-blown glass pitchers (their handles are handblown and then attached)
ReplyDeleteOh my! I think I may have a collection of pottery pitchers too!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCan you post some pictures of your chairs on your blog? I'd love to see them!!
And Denise! You've got to have an accidental collection! Please tell!!
