A Little Gift from Nature
After much heat, humidity, and bad storms, here a little gift I found in my flower pot this morning.
It's so darling and perfect!
It almost doesn't look real!

And the Winner Is.....
I did an old fashioned drawing. Printed out all the entries and put them in a big crystal bowl. My lovely daughter Amanda pulled the name.
Congratulations Deb (tnshadylady)! You've won the June Sampler Box from Shabby Shops in a Box! And since they are all sold out, you really are lucky!!! Enjoy!

Welcome Summer!!
It's the first day of summer! Looking forward to many sunny days. I love to play in the garden. After giving up my vegetable patch a few summers ago, I've been able to spend more time with my flowers. And I'm really pleased with the results! Less weeds and more flowers!

A Rosey Treat!
I treated myself to a shrub rose. My first and only one. Right now it's cute and small but I'm expecting it to fill out quickly.
It's called Palmengarten Frankfurt. A pretty bright pink. Because of rainy weather, I caught it's first bloom a little late, but it's still so pretty. And the little buds are a promise of things to come!
I just love how the raindrops bead on Lady's Mantel! The rain was a little heavy and knocked over the blossoms, but the splash of bright green is still gorgeous in the garden.
Happy, warm summer days to all!
